I was hesitant about the white mesh, fearing it would look like a bandage, but it’s actually very chic. It blends perfectly with my white French door frame and doesn't darken the room at all. It gives a very airy, Mediterranean feel to my sunroom. If you have a light-colored house, go for the white—it’s much more aesthetic than the standard black. The quality is just as high.
No fading after 4 months in the Arizona sun.
The sun here destroys everything plastic within weeks. This fiberglass mesh has been exposed to direct 100+ degree heat all summer and hasn't become brittle or faded. The black is still deep black, and the Velcro adhesive hasn't "melted" off the frame. It’s clearly a high-grade industrial material. Very impressed with the heat resistance.

With two dogs and a cat, the house can get a bit "stuffy." Being able to leave the door open all day without letting in a swarm of flies has been a game-changer. The airflow is amazing. I just took mine down for the winter. It folds up very neatly into a small square. Unlike wire screens, it doesn't "kink" or stay bent. I know when I put it back up in the spring, it will hang perfectly flat again. The Velcro on the door frame stayed put through the first frost. Great durability.
